Hi everyone this is Jack Red, I know I wasn't a fan of RPGs however I just realize that turn base was my favorite.
Since I can play it with time to think about my next move.
I just became a fan of Shining as I'm currently playing Shining Force 2 before I switch back to the original then I might try Shining in the Darkness again.
Thanks to my friend Big C I got Shining Force CD on my lap top I been hearing it's a good game as it's a four part game.
I was wondering for anyone who loves RPGs which game in Shining series is the longest ever made.
All you have to do is simply tell me which game you don't need to tell why unless you want to.
I thank everyone who wants to get involve.

Well as someone who has played them all, the longest game is probably Shining Force 3, it's a total of 3 disks long, even though only 1 came here to america, and the amount of useless walking in down and grinding you have to do in that short time is crazy. Shining Force CD is really just a re-release of the Game Gear games on the Sega CD. Shining in the Darkness is a first person dungeon crawler that can be insanely long and difficult if you are not prepared.

I think its Shining Force 3 which is the only one I haven't beat. It also depends on how much grinding and story is involved. CD has the least exploring since its just story followed by battle and so on. Great game just missing the town parts which makes it not nearly as good as 1 and 2. 3 from what I have seen from part 1 that was brought here has a lot of story before the game even begins I have no idea how much cutscene there is during the game but if its anything like that then 3 has to be the longest. Darkness is only as long as the grinding and finding your way takes. You can probably beat it the fastest with the right strategy.

Holy crap guys so it's true Shining Force 3 has the length of the series my god man.
How much longer it can be to CD.
You are right about CD it's a remake of the first two Game Gear games with a short story of six battles and a museum where all the stories bosses have to be fought similar to Shining Force 2 hidden final boss.

Definitely SF3. I've played all of them (including Shining the Holy Ark, which is highly recommended if you liked Shining in the Darkness), but all 3 Scenarios of SF3 & the Premium disk battle arena which pits 12 characters of your choosing (imported from SF3 save data) against some of the best bosses/battles from all the Shining Force series. You can try it as early as the first save, but it won't be pretty...lol.
